Fundraiser to benefit cancer battle
On Sunday from 3-7 p.m. co-workers from the Brodheadsville Holiday Hair Salon are sponsoring a tricky tray, food and bake sale and Hair-a-Thon at the West End Food Pantry, 516 Kunkletown Road, Kunkletown, to help a co-worker battling with breast cancer for a second time.
“Our team is committed to helping a holiday hair family member who has recently beat breast cancer once, and is now back out to fight again. Join us in raising money to help Sheryl Still through her difficult time. ALL proceeds will go directly to Still to help with any expenses,” said Emily Smiley, who decided she and her co-workers needed to find a way to raise money to help cover Still’s treatments and other medical expenses.
The salon is offering: Adult cuts, $20; buzz cuts and kids cuts, $10; braids, $5; and nail painting, $5.
Tricky tray is one sheet for $5 or five sheets for $20.
“You do not need to be present to win. We will begin pulling tickets at 6 p.m., but if your number is called and you have already left the fundraiser, you may pick up your prize the following week at the Holiday Hair Salon in Brodheadsville.
Any local businesses or anyone who would like to donate please get in touch. They will be taking donations until the fundraiser begins.
“Come visit current and past Holiday Hair employees for a good cause,” Smiley said.
