State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a crash in a work zone along Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, on April 20 at 9:19 a.m.

Troopers said Janice Y. Kresge, 68, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2015 Ford Escape northbound and approaching an active work zone that was set up at a bridge over McMichael’s Creek near Hypsie Gap Road.

Troopers said the Escape struck a 2006 Toyota Corolla that was stopped in the work zone where a flagger was present. No injuries were reported.

Kresge was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
