West Penn Township supervisors approved the following action recently:

• To spend $29,901 for Smart Sign, a digital sign for up by the police/fire departments.

• To spend an amount not to exceed $17,500 for air conditioning for the township.

• To spend $1,017 to improve lighting at its annex building.

• A bid award in the amount of $475 to Hunter Hardscape for the mowing of West Penn parks.

• To follow through with notice requirements under the ag security law, and do advertising as necessary, to add several properties to the township’s ag security.

• Township solicitor Paul J. Datte said he was notified by Urban Research & Development Corporation that the final version of the zoning ordinance were expected to be ready.
