– Kenny Sterling sets the pace with three first-place finishes as Lehighton scores its third straight Lehigh Valley League track victory over the Konkrete Kids of Northampton, 85-33. Sterling, who is the Indians’ top scorer to date, wins the long jump with a leap of 18-9 1/2, the triple jump with a measurement of 41-4 and then the discus with a toss of 132-5. The win keeps Lehighton in a three-way tie for second place with Palmerton and Catasauqua.
