Track & Field Roundup: Results from April 21

The Palmerton boys and girls posted impressive victories in a Colonial League meet on Thursday.

Elsewhere, the Northern Lehigh girls also recorded a commanding win.

TRACK

Bangor-Palmerton

Palmerton swept Bangor in Colonial League action.

The Bombers came away with a 98-46 victory in the girls meet, and cruised to a 112-38 win in the boys contest.

Nataly Walters (100, 200, long jump) recorded three first-place finishes for the Palmerton girls, while Samantha Perloni swept the 100 and 300 hurdles.

Owen Hibell (800, 1600), Bryson Walters (110H, 300H) and Harrison Dailey (long jump, pole vault) all had multiple wins in the boys’ competition for the Bombers.

Northern Lehigh split a Colonial League meet against Pen Argyl.

The Bulldogs posted a 117-28 victory in the girls’ contest, but fell to the Green Knights 87-41 in the boys’ competition.

Dekota Barthold had a big day for the Northern Lehigh girls, sweeping the 100 and 300 hurdles and winning the javelin. She was also third in the shot put. Katelynn Barthold (400, 800), Zoe Hathaway (100, high jump) and Kendall Snyder (long jump, triple jump) also posted multiple victories.

In the boys meet, Nolehi’s Trevor Amorim (100), Jared Thomason (800), Chase Jones (110H) and Matt Frame (shot put) all posted victories.

The Pirates posted a 85-65 win on the boys’ side, and recorded a 87-63 victory in the girls’ meet.

Faith Yost picked up wins in the 100 and 300 hurdles and the high jump for Northwestern. Carsyn Van Norman (100, 200) and Joshua Heilman (100, 400) also had multiple victories for the Tigers.
