A quick response by all four Tamaqua fire companies and the Tamaqua Rescue Squad saved a home from a fire. A passing female motorist spotted flames on the back porch of a home at 126 Greenwood St. around noon Saturday. She immediately drove to a nearby fire box and pulled the alarm. No injuries were reported in the incident.
