Nutrition business opens in Palmerton

Her passion is fitness, and her mission is to bring healthy nutrition and positive energy.

There’s been plenty of good health and happiness to go around since Claudia Brandstetter opened Emersion Nutrition.

Brandstetter recently opened her business inside Spillane’s Fit at 260 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton.

She said the menu consists of healthy shakes and lit teas, mini protein doughnuts, oatmeal, smoothie bowls, caffeine-free refreshers for kids, pre-workout, post-workout, Branched Chain Amino Acids which help with muscle recovery and lean muscle growth, aloe, fat reducer shots, immunity shots, probiotics, beauty shots, protein coffee, electrolytes, and protein snacks.

Brandstetter said shake flavors include PB Banana Oreo; Salted Caramel Pretzel; Chunky Monkey; Cinnamon French Toast; Tropical Twist; Samoa; and Coffee Toffee.

She said a regular shake contains 24 grams of protein, 24-plus vitamins and minerals, and 200-250 calories, while a mega shake has 36 grams of protein, 24-plus vitamins and minerals, and 300-350 calories.

Brandstetter said types of Lit Teas are Blue Mojito: Lime, Mango, Lemon, Blue Blast, Pineapple and Coconut; Hawaiian Passionfruit: Pomegranate, Raspberry, Mango, and Passion Fruit; Tropical Sunrise: Pomegranate, Raspberry, Mango, and Strawberry; Island Sangria: Orange, Raspberry, Mandarin, and Grape; Good Vibes: Lime, Lemon, Blue Blast, Mandarin, and Watermelon; Triple Berry Sangria: Pomegranate, Raspberry, Blackberry, Cranberry, and Grape.

She said Lit Teas boost metabolism; help mental fatigue, mental focus, and memory recall; contain antioxidants, vitamins B and C; and are good for digestive health and nutrient absorption. They contain 15-30 calories, zero grams of sugar, and are available in regular and mega sizes as well.

Pricing is $7 for 24-ounce regular sized shakes, which have 24 grams of protein and over 24 vitamins and minerals. The teas are the same price for this size and have caffeine, but are a clean energy, help boost the metabolism, provides antioxidants, help with mental fatigue, focus and digestive health as well. The 32-ounce mega size shake or tea is $10. Protein oatmeals are the same price. Mini protein doughnuts are $8.50. They also have caffeine free refreshers and protein coffees that range from $5-$10.

Brandstetter, who attended Northampton High School, said she developed her passion for fitness and health at the age of 16.

“What drove me was a negative environment around me that made me unhappy,” she said. “I used that as fuel to fire me; to help myself and friends, family.”

Brandstetter then attended Northampton Community College, where she obtained an associate degree before she transferred to East Stroudsburg University, where she studied exercise science and completed a bachelor’s degree.

She said her best friend started out doing the business two years before her.

“And so when I became unemployed from the pandemic, I needed something remote and knew health and fitness was a passion of mine,” Brandstetter said. “That’s where I decided to start the health coaching online helping others better (their) health and achieve their own personal goals.”

Brandstetter explained that she wanted to open her own place, and that the borough was the ideal fit for her to do so.

“It’s a small town, I love the community,” she said. “This is an amazing community to bring health here.”

Motivational training is when I heard the name Emersion Nutrition.

Brandstetter said her goal is to eventually do deliveries at the schools of free samples such as tea drops and mini protein doughnut samples for the teachers. She said she also plans to do the same for first responders and medical facilities as well in an attempt to give back to the community.
