A Monroe County woman entered guilty pleas on Thursday in three pending criminal cases and was immediately sentenced.
She was one of 12 defendants to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.
Tampering
Natalie Bosco, 23, of Scotrun, pleaded to one count of tampering with/fabrication of physical evidence, criminal trespass, theft, simple assault, persistent disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense of public drunkenness.
The tampering charge stems from an incident on May 14, 2021, when Lehighton police conducted a traffic stop along Route 443 in which the defendant was a passenger in the vehicle. She had three needles in her possession and tried to dispose of them. Methamphetamine was also found.
The trespass occurred on Feb. 25, 2021, filed by state police at Lehighton for an incident along Hahns Diary Road in Towamensing Township, where she entered a home illegally.
The remaining charges stem from an incident on April 13, 2021, in Franklin Township at the Hampton Inn along Interchange Road. Police responded to the inn for an unconscious female found in one of the rooms. Bosco was the female and became combative with police striking one of the officers. An aggravated assault count, a felony 2, was dropped in a plea deal.
On the simple assault count Matika sentenced her to time-served (30 days) to 18 months in prison. On the other counts she was placed on probation for a year with the terms running concurrent to each other but consecutive to the assault charge. On the summary offense she was sentenced to serve 15 to 30 days in jail, concurrent with the assault charge.
She was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, make restitution in the trespass case for $120 and render a total of 150 hours of community service.
Bosco is currently an inmate in the Monroe County prison on other pending charges.
Drug count
Anthony J. Formisano Jr.,Jenna Kaye Greene, 27, of Altoona, pleaded to one count of theft. She was arrested on July 5, 2017, by state police at Lehighton, for an incident in Bowmanstown where she stole jewelry from a residence. There is a co-defendant in the case. In a plea deal felony 3 counts of receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy - theft, were dropped.
Greene is currently an inmate in the Blair County prison on other criminal charges.
Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, render 50 hours of community service when paroled, make restitution of $662.50, which is a half-share of the total due, and have no contact with the victim.
Kevin Lindemuth, 42, of Hazleton, entered pleas in two pending cases to one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy - criminal mischief, both felonies.
He was arrested on the PWID charge on March 25, 2021, by Weatherly police and the mischief count by Weatherly police on Nov. 21, 2020. He is currently an inmate in the county prison.
Sentencing was deferred and the adult probation office was ordered to prepare a presentence investigation report.
Steven Louis Eisenhauer, 35, of Lake Ariel, Wayne County, pleaded to one count of DUI of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Sept. 17, 2019, by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township at a regulatory checkpoint operation.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
David Joseph Kudla, 41, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of DUI of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Nov. 9, 2021, along Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Erik Edward Evans, 56, of Slatington, pleaded to one count of DUI of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Aug. 24, 2019, by Lehighton police along Bridge Street.
He is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison on a detainer filed by Montgomery County.
Matika sentenced him to serve 90 days to 60 months in jail, pay a fine of $1,500, license suspended for 18 months, render 100 hours of community service when paroled and supply a DNA sample
Aaron Miller, 44, of Allentown, pleaded in two pending cases to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and access device fraud.
He was arrested by Palmerton police on the fraud charge on May 1, 2019; and the drug count by Franklin Township police on Sept. 5, 2019. Miller is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison but was scheduled to be released to a halfway house on Friday, April 8.
Matika placed him on probation for a year on each count with the terms running concurrently and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.
Tucker R. Smith, 26, of Kunkletown, Towamensing Township, pleaded to one count of simple assault. He was charged by state police at Lehighton for an incident on Jan. 17, 2020, at his father’s residence. He assaulted his father. Smith, who is an inmate in the county prison, has a pending charge, it was noted.
Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he attend and successfully complete an anger management course and render 50 hours of community service.
Thomas James Hosier, 20, of Trexlertown, pleaded to one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested by state police at Lehighton on May 4, 2021, along Bank Street in Bowmanstown following a vehicle stop.
Matika imposed a fine of $150 and costs.
Cristian Zamudio, 21, of Hazleton, pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He was arrested on Nov. 21, 2020, by Weatherly police along Plane Street following a vehicle stop.
He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.
He is currently an inmate in the Luzerne County prison on other charges.
Jasmine Marie Cornish, 31, of Lehighton, pleaded to two summary offenses of operating a vehicle with a valid inspection sticker and turn signal violation. In a plea deal a DUI charge was dropped.
Matika imposed a fine of $25 on each count plus costs.
Each defendant must also pay court costs of over $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation.
