Panther Valley news for April 8, 2022

Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced the menu for the week of April 11-15 is:

Monday: Swiss steak, scalloped potatoes, beets, orange or crispy chicken salad

Tuesday: Sweet and sour pork, brown rice, Asian vegetables, pineapples, cookie or egg salad sandwich

Wednesday: Crispy chicken, cheesey mashed potatoes, broccoli, peaches, or turkey salad

Thursday: Vegetable soup, cheeseburger, bean salad, pudding or Italian sandwich

Friday: Center closed

The center also announced upcoming events: Sunshine Meeting on April 11 at 10 a.m. followed Darts and Games; Birthday Bingo on April 12 at 10:45 a.m.; Cards on April 13 at 10:30 a.m.; Cornhole on April 14 at 11 a.m.; Center closed on April 15.

Upcoming trip on July 14 to Sight & Sound to see David, call center for more information.

Pool, Skeeball, Cards, Games and Socialization available every day. New members always welcome.

Summit Hill cleanup

Summit Hill Borough will hold a spring cleanup on the following days:

• April 9, the West side of town along with Laurel Drive and East and West Mountaintop Road will be picked up.

Items to be picked up include: tires (no more than four), tire rims, auto body parts, refrigerators, freezers, vending machines, dehumidifiers, water coolers, heat pumps, washers, dryers and stoves.

All items shall have all chemicals removed and doors taken off. Freon must be removed from refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. and tagged or they will not take them. In addition, up to 10 bags of garbage will be collected.

Electronics recycling to be held on April 23.
