The Highway Safety Network and State Farm Insurance are teaming up for Distracted Driving Awareness Month by hosting a TikTok contest to bring awareness to the dangers of teen distracted driving.
This contest is open to students in grades seven through 12, living or attending school in one of the following counties: Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Elk, Fayette, Greene, Juniata, Lehigh, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, Washington and Westmoreland.
Participants are tasked with creating a video posted to their public TikTok account with a safety message regarding the dangers of distracted driving.
The contest runs through April 10 at 11:59 p.m. To officially enter, all participants must follow and tag @highwaysafetynetwork and include the following hashtags: #HSNandSF22, #stopDD, and #ContestEntry.
Prizes, sponsored by State Farm, will be awarded to the top three entries. The grand prize winner will be awarded $500, the first runner-up will receive $300, and the second runner-up receives $150.
