Tamaqua firefighters responded to a call of a working structure fire at a 10 S. Greenwood St. Apartment building around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. Initial reports placed the fire on the first floor. Emergency personnel had cleared the scene a little over an hour later, and people were seen congregating on a porch. Windows at the building were open in an apparent attempt to vent the property.
