– The Summit Hill School District Board of Education, in a regular session, hires Richard Davidyock of Summit Hill as a teacher of social studies, manual arts instructor and head football and basketball coach. Davidyock’s salary is set at $4,400, plus $600 for his coaching duties, including $300 for each sport. Davidyock is a graduate of Gettysburg College, where he was an athletic star. He succeeds Michael McCullion as head coach of the two sports. The latter remains on the faculty.
