Tamaqua borough will resume street sweeping next week.

Permanently posted streets that are cleaned Thursdays and Fridays will be cleaned beginning at 5 a.m. April 7 and 8. Streets include East and West Broad, Berwick, Center, Pine, North and South Railroad streets and portions of Nescopec and Swatara streets.

Streets will be posted the day before sweeping is scheduled. Residents must move their vehicles from the posted areas. Vehicles that remain on posted streets will be ticketed.

Property owners and residents are encouraged to clean their sidewalks the day before their street is cleaned. Sweeping will continue as needed, and the schedule is subject to change depending on work schedules and weather conditions.
