Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Adopted an ordinance amending streets and sidewalks, parking prohibited at all times section of borough code.

• Adopted an ordinance amending vehicles and traffic, junked vehicles and snow and ice removal sections of borough code.

• Retained Berkheimer Associates for collection of Earned Income Taxes.

• Agreed to add a paper shredding event to the electronic recycling event on May 19 and noted that it’s for borough residents only.

• Approved handicapped parking requests for 235 Lafayette Ave. and 455 Franklin Ave.
