State police at Schuylkill Haven

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the incidents in Schuylkill County:

• Troopers said Derek DeAngelo, 18, of Tamaqua, has been charged with simple assault for an incident on March 17 at 3:24 a.m. along Judy Drive in Cressona borough.

Troopers said DeAngelo head-butted a 55-year-old man from Tamaqua at that location, causing a gash in the victim’s forehead.

• On March 9 at 12:28 a.m. a traffic stop of a 2005 Jeep Liberty was made at Skyline Drive at Darkwater Road in New Castle Township, for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation the driver, Brittany Zweizig, 34, of Schuylkill Haven, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On March 15 at 9:38 a.m. a 17-year-old man from Pottsville, shoved a teacher in the hallway of the Schuylkill Intermediate School along Maple Avenue, in Norwegian Township. He also placed another teacher in a choke hold in the process of them restraining him. A charge of simple assault and related counts were filed against the teen.

• On March 5 at 9:59 p.m. troopers responded to Clarks Valley Road, Porter Township, for a disturbance in a bar area. Upon being asked to leave by security, Timothy Robinson, 46, of Halifax, Dauphin County, became physical with staff members before being removed form the premises. Troopers indicated a charge of harassment - physical contact, is pending.
