ACS auction returns to Tamaqua high school gym

The Cancer Telethon.org’s pre-COVID schedule auction/basket raffle has returned to the normal spring schedule and will be held on April 3. What hasn’t changed are the hundreds of prizes that will be lined up throughout the Tamaqua High Gymnasium in Tamaqua. We feature our high-value “white ticket” items and additional high-value “red ticket” items, both sections offered at the incredibly low price of three for a dollar.

Seating will be available in the gymnasium, or we will contact you by text or phone so you can pick your winnings up after the auction or within the following days at the Telethon Office in Lansford.

April 2, we welcome you to stop by the Shop and Drop from 5 to 8 p.m. Get a preview of the items or drop your tickets and avoid the Sunday crowd. The auction on April 3 opens its doors at 11:30 a.m. and the event begins at 2:30 p.m.

Top prizes on the specially purchased “white ticket” (3 chances for ONLY $1) include $1,000 cash, Dell Inspiron Laptop, fuel oil, Apple Watch, Hook Reveal Fish Finder/Chart Plotter, Sony PS5, Xbox Series X, Oriental rug, hover board Scooter, iRobot Roomba vacuum, Sundance Vacations eight-day trip, Inn at Jim Thorpe stay, Little Tikes Slam & Curve Slide, 12 bottle wine collection, 55-inch TCL LED Smart Roku television, and much more. The red table offers a large variety of high-value items that also will appeal to everyone.

Noncash payments will be accepted via an online payment application accessible via a QR code. As always, cash is accepted and preferred.

We can’t forget the food! A variety of food will be sold to enjoy inside or for takeout.

Polka Joe with WMGH will be live.

For more information, call 570-805-4555 or www.CancerTelethon.org/auction.

All proceeds will be presented at the annual American Cancer Telethon scheduled for April 9 and 10 live at Penn’s Peak from noon to midnight each day which will be broadcast live on BRC-TV13, Service Electric and Pottsville Comcast TV.
