The Kids Closet to host spring/summer sale

The Kids Closet Sale is hosting its spring/summer sale April 5-7 at Penn’s Peak located at 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe.

Jen Benninger, advertising director for the Times News and coordinator of The Kids Closet Sale, said, “We are very excited for the upcoming sale. This sale is about families helping families. Consignors can turn their outgrown clothing, toys and equipment into extra money and shoppers can save BIG money on new or gently used name-brand children’s items.”

With over 15,000 items for sale this year, The Kids Closet Sale offers something for everyone. Items not only include children’s new and gently used clothing sizes newborn through junior, but also home décor, toys, books and sports gear. Every item goes through an inspection process which checks for rips in clothing, batteries in toys that require them to be in general good quality.

After the sale, hundreds of items are donated to a local church. Any blankets and pillows are donated to an animal shelter.

Public shopping hours are April 6, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and half-price sale (on most items) April 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. New moms and VIP shopping is April 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. VIP passes are available at www.thekidsclosetsale.com for $10. New moms can email thekidsclosetsale@ptd.net for free registration.

The Kids Closet Sale is celebrating its 13th year serving the families of Carbon and surrounding counties.
