Tamaqua woman goes against court, trespasses on property

Tamaqua police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

Judith A. Vacula, 57, of Tamaqua, is facing a charge of defiant trespass.

On March 15 at 8:40 p.m. police were asked to check 241 E. Broad St. after receiving a report that Vacula was at the property. When police arrived Vacula was on the porch hanging decorations. When she saw police she left the porch and approached police showing then paperwork that she said allowed her to be on the property. But the paperwork was signed by her.

Police informed Vacula that the property owner had spoken to them that day and said she was not allowed on the property. Vacula was then taken into custody and transported to the police station. Police noted that this is an ongoing problem with Vacula at the property that, in fact, she is currently on probation on charges filed because she was on the property when not allowed. She was also told by the county court to stay off the property until she is the proper owner.

She was arraigned on the charges before on-call District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
