There is now a vacancy on Nesquehoning Borough Council.
On Wednesday, council accepted the resignation of Councilman Michael Radocha Sr. Radocha sent the borough his resignation two weeks ago and was not at the meeting.
Radocha’s resignation letter cited personal reasons for not being able to continue in the position.
Council is now accepting letters of interest to fill the vacancy on the board.
Letters of interest should be sent to the borough hall at 114 W. Catawissa St.
Radocha sat on the council since 2017, when he was appointed to fill the vacant seat created by the resignation of longtime Councilman Donato DeMarco.
He was then elected to his first term in 2019.
