Thanks to the generosity of two former local residents, the Northern Lehigh community may benefit financially for many years to come.

Yesterday, the establishment of the Henry L. Mickley and Mabel S. Fravel Charitable Trust in the amount of $307,000 was announced by Demetrios H. Tsarouhis of the law firm Steckel and Stopp.

Tsarouhis said he was engaged by Fravel years ago to create a fund that will donate to local charities and facilities on behalf of her and Mickley, her longtime companion, after their passings. The fund will be managed by a trustee from the Slatington Lions and Rotary clubs and a third trustee from the Citizens National Bank, Slatington.
