– The Scotland School uses a combination of running, jumping and passing to put an incredible 38 fourth-quarter points on the board in defeating Marian, 87-59, in the second round of the PIAA Class A state tournament. Behind the efforts of Brad Shanfelt, Mark Makovec and Terry McLaughlin, the Colts hang with the talented Cadets, trailing by five (33-28) just before the intermission, but the eventual winners were not to be denied, scoring the final four points of the stanza and 50 in the second half to eliminate the Colts, coached by Neil Kennedy.
