The mock trial team of Marian Catholic High School, which won the trial competition last week at the Northampton County Courthouse, Easton, advanced to the regional competition Monday evening before finishing in second place to Sacred Heart High School, Carbondale.

Team members included Brett Bitsko, Jennifer Bolton, Gwen Chodur, Theresa Collierr, Jason Griffaton, Lauren Kamenas, Christine Kanick, Amanda McCall, Julie Postupack and Stephanie Radocha. They are coached by Bernard Forgotch, the school’s social studies and economics teacher.

Local attorneys Jean Engler and Anthony Serina served as advisers to the Marian contingent.
