Let’s take a reality look at inflated prices for just about everything and consider what I believe is creating the increases. We are told to blame the “other” political party, the president, the conflicts overseas, the pandemic, the supply chain, the truckers, etc. - while the media does not mention the major factor allowing inflation.

That factor would be the corporate monopolies such as Big Oil, Big Food, Big Pharma, etc. remaining unchecked by the Republican/Democratic U.S. Congress - even though Congress has the responsibility and legal mandate to regulate and prevent monopolies from quashing competition and free enterprise. In short, the corporate profiteers are gouging us consumers (and blaming the president) while Congress does nothing. Our country has the resources to supply our needs - at reasonable prices.

If you are angry enough about this unnecessary theft of your finances, then contact your federal and state legislators and assure them this will be their last term in office if they don’t do something about the monopolies. No more “promises” and “proposals.” Get it done!

On the state level, our legislators should not talk about gas tax or property tax relief if they are not really intending to accomplish it.

We need to elect legislators who will safeguard and represent the majority.
