Tamaqua police announce the following incidents:

• Jaydon Charles Khan, 21, of Whitehall, has been charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment - lewd, threatening language and disorderly conduct.

On Feb. 16 at 1:29 p.m. police were dispatched to a civil complaint involving children. The complaining male said his friend’s children were being picked up at 307 W. Broad St. by Khan, who is the father of the children. He said Kahn pulled a gun him.

Police met with the man who told officers Khan and a woman arrived to pick up the children. When he took the children outside Khan began to argue with him. He said Khan then pulled a handgun, cocked it and pointed it directly at him threatening to shoot him. He said another person then pulled Khan back into a vehicle and they left. Charges were then filed.

• Michael Anthony Vallette, 46, of Water Street, New Philadelphia, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

On Nov. 7 at 2:34 p.m. police stopped Vallette for speeding along Route 209, near the No. 11 hill, between Tamaqua and Coaldale. He was found to be impaired, failed field sobriety tests and was transported to St. Luke’s Miners Hospital, Coaldale, for a blood draw. The result showed a 0.15 BAC.
