March 8, 1951 - St. Ann’s of Lansford rebounds from a slow start to gain a 32-20 victory over St. Michael’s to capture the Panther Valley CYO championship. St. Ann’s wins the first two games in the best-of-three series to earn the title. After scoring just three points in the first quarter and trailing, St. Ann’s uses an 11-2 second period to take control. Bob Daldos collects a game-high 13 points, while Billy Sproule contributes six. The winners also receive five points from Billy Brennan. Tom Robin paces St. Michael’s with 12 points.
