2-5 inches of snow in forecast Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches of snow are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.

Highest totals are expected in the higher elevations of the southern Poconos.

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: A slight chance of snow after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 3 p.m. High near 37. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow, mainly before 7 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51.

Friday Night: Showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday: Rain showers before 4 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers. High near 45. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow showers before 7 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
