State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes in Schuylkill County:

• A three-vehicle crash was reported at 10:03 a.m. on Feb. 16 along Route 61 in New Castle Township. Troopers said Robert L. Bressler, 62, of Donaldson, Schuylkill County, was driving a 2007 Ford F150 truck southbound in the area of Darkwater Road. Bressler failed to see traffic ahead of him slowing down and he lost control of his vehicle. The Ford sideswiped a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by Christine A. Parrish, 43, of Morea, Schuylkill County, and continued on and struck guide rail. After impact with the truck the Hyundai traveled counterclockwise and struck the right front of a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Robert D. Callaghan, 75, of Pottsville.

Callaghan and his passenger, Carol A. Callaghan, 73, same address, sustained suspected minor injuries and were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville. The other two drivers were not injured.

Traffic was detoured until the vehicles could be towed.

Bressler was cited for the crash.

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 9:56 p.m. on Feb. 22 along Peach Mountain Road in Norwegian Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Pottsville was driving a 2011 Subaru Impreza northbound when he became distracted and failed to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle left the road on the right side and struck a utility pole.

The teen sustained suspected minor injuries and was taken to the LVH, Pottsville.

The vehicle had to be towed.

He was cited for the crash.
