Ken Termini, Palmerton Area High School boys’ varsity basketball coach, reads “The Little Fish That Got Away” to Kelly Ord’s kindergarten class on Tuesday afternoon at Parkside Education Center.
Termini was one of the guest readers throughout the district this week as part of “Read Across America,” a nationwide effort established by the National Education Association in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading.
Wednesday was national Read Across America day, coinciding with the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss.
Guest readers in Palmerton also included DetectiveKevin Buck of the Palmerton Police Department, Superintendent Dr. Jodi Frankelli, and School Board President Tammy Recker among others.
