State police at Frackville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 6:11 a.m. on Feb. 13 along Route 924 in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Abel Batista Perez, 25, of Shenandoah, was driving a 2002 Jeep Compass southbound when he lost control while negotiating a left hand curve in the road. The Jeep crossed over the northbound lane and onto the berm where it struck a tree.

Perez and his passenger, Drai F. Miller, 30, of Pottsville, were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville, for treatment of suspected minor injuries. The Jeep had to be towed. Road conditions were snow-covered and wet, troopers said.

Perez was cited for operation of a vehicle without official certificate of inspection.
