Palmerton has agreed to lift COVID-19 restrictions to reopen its borough building.
On a 6-0 measure, borough council on Thursday agreed to remove the COVID-19 restrictions.
Council’s action came after a request from borough Manager Donna McGarry who suggested the move.
McGarry explained she believes “a lot of things have been getting better.”
She said she would like to see the gymnasium reopen during the daytime.
Additionally, she said it would allow for borough employees to not have to wear masks.
In a related matter, council approved the renewal of the borough’s emergency declaration for 90 days.
