– A capacity crowd witnesses the Panther Valley Booster Club’s first annual “night of fun” staged in the Coaldale school gym, where the Panther Valley Jointure faculty edge the Booster Club Clowns, 69-65. Dick McIntyre, sensational lefthander from Coaldale, was the top gunner for the serious-minded faculty, tallying 30 points, while Frank “Clem” Piscelli and Vince Spisak follow with 12 points apiece and Jim Steber nets 10. Bernie Markey and Tony Zonca, former Lansford cagers, pace the Clowns with 19 and 16 points, respectively.
