State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers at Schuylkill County locations:
• On Feb. 11 at 8:01 a.m. troopers responded to School Street in MaryD, Schuylkill Township. A 67-year-old woman reported her 2006 Jeep Liberty had been stolen. It was determined that the victim’s granddaughter, who troopers declined to identify, took the vehicle sometime between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 7:17 a.m. on Feb. 11. The vehicle was later recovered by state police at the Dublin barracks. Troopers said charges have been prepared accordingly.
• On Jan. 28 at 9:05 p.m. troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash along South Cleveland Street in McAdoo. It was reported the male driver of a 1997 Dodge made brief contact with the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, then fled the scene.
The fleeing driver was later apprehended and identified by troopers as a 38-year-old man from McAdoo, who showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Charges to be filed.
• State police said on Feb. 12 at 7:13 p.m. troopers responded to the Walmart store in Rush Township for a report of a theft incident. On scene store personnel said Heidi Dower, 39, of Mahanoy City, attempted to remove $101.85 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. She was stopped by store security and detained until troopers arrived
• A 45-year-old woman from Mahanoy City and a 43-year-old man from Glendon were cited for harassment by physical contact after an incident at 8:25 a.m. Feb. 11 on Mahanoy Township.
State police at the Frackville barracks said they were summoned to the scene along West Centre Street when a verbal altercation turned physical and both parties pushed one another.
