A 33-year-old Slatington man is the victim of an identity theft by deception case that is being investigated by state police at the Bethlehem barracks.

Police said they were called to Old Post Road in Washington Township, Lehigh County, at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 8 when the victim reported someone attempted to obtain a loan in his name.
