Human services priorities breakfast to return this year

The annual Carbon County Human Services Priorities Breakfast will return after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The breakfast, sponsored by the Carbon County Collaborative, will take place on April 22 at Whispering Pines Banquet Hall, Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, 1387 Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with breakfast served at 9 and the program beginning at 9:30.

This year’s theme is Carbon County Resiliency, which will cover issues relating to the county’s accomplishments and dedication to the community.

Those wishing to attend should contact Cindy Lynd at clynd@ecneahec.org or 610-379-2001 or mail information to Lynd at Eastcentral PA AHEC, 5662 Interchange Road, Lehighton, PA 18235.

Information that should be included should be the organization’s name attending, address, phone number and email, and names of people from the organization who will be attending.

Payment is $15 per person and checks should be made payable to the Interagency Council of Carbon County and mailed by April 8.

Sponsorships for the breakfast are also being accepted at this time. Sponsor donations help offset the cost of the meal, as well as future grants that the collaborative awards.

Sponsorships can be $50, $75 or $100.

For more information on sponsorship opportunities, contact Lynd or send payment, made payable to the Interagency Council of Carbon County, to the aforementioned address.

The deadline for sponsors is March 25.
