State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 5:39 a.m. on Feb. 13 along Covered Bridge Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Kyle D. Sweeney, 27, of Whitehall, was driving a 2014 Lincoln Continental MKZ northbound when he applied his brakes. Sweeney lost control of his vehicle due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle then struck a bridge rail and came to rest.

Sweeney was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.
