Bethlehem man, 72, dies from injuries in Ross Twp. crash

A 72-year-old Bethlehem man died as a result of injuries in a Saturday afternoon crash in Ross Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Jeffry Lee Semprini was traveling east on Kunkletown Road near Lakeview Drive at 2:15 p.m. when he lost control on a curve. He went off the road, traveled 180 feet on grass and came to rest in a shallow creek.

He was taken to St. Luke’s Anderson campus, where he died from injuries.

The car was towed by Tittle’s Used Auto Parts. State police were assisted at the scene by West End Community Ambulance, Lehigh Valley EMS, Blue Ridge Volunteer Fire Company and Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection was notified because of oil leaking into the creek.
