Jim Thorpe man faces more charges in Florida

Patrick Gremling, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested in Miami-Dade County Monday and booked on a fugitive warrant out of New Jersey.

Gremling, 54, had a hearing at 9 a.m. in the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, Miami-Dade County on the warrant. Results were not immediately available.

Online Court records from New Jersey show the Little Egg Harbor Police Department filed charges Jan. 24 alleging sexual assault against a child from a July 4, 2012, incident.

A call to Detective Steve Martin of the police department was not returned.

Locally, Gremling has a hearing in Carbon County in front of Magistrate Judge William Kissner set for 1:30 a.m. March 2. The charges stem from offenses from Nov. 12, 2011. He is charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old.

Times News archives show the victim reported he had been touched by Gremling. The incident allegedly happened at the Woods Campground, 3500 Forest Drive in Towamensing Township.
