State police at Hazleton said on Jan. 4 a 59-year-old woman from Weatherly, reported the catalytic converter on a 2009 Mercury Mariner was stolen. The vehicle was parked in the 1900 block of Berwick Street, in Banks Township. The theft occurred sometime between Dec. 25, 2021, and Jan. 4.

Value of the converter was set at $200.
