Lehighton Council took the following action:

• Tabled a request from Mayor Clark Ritter to update an ordinance regarding temporary permits for parking of large vehicles.

• Approved the request from the Lehighton Downtown Partnership to hold the Farmers Market and Rocktoberfest, contingent upon the police services contract.

• Approved a request from Mike and Sarah Wargo to place a bench in Lehighton Veterans Memorial Park, with no liability to the borough if something were to happen to the bench.

• Approved a resolution correcting the pay rate for crossing guards at $10 an hour.

• Approved a resolution adopting Carbon County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.
