Emergency personnel were dispatched to a crash Thursday evening in West Penn Township. The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. along Route 309 near the intersection with Dairy Road.

The motorist was traveling north when the unit left the roadway entering the right berm impacting head-on into a pole. The victim was being evaluated and treated by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance. The West Penn fire company responded to the scene. West Penn Township police are investigating the incident.
