A Gilbert man has been charged with choking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by trooper Milagros Holguin Ramos of the Pennsylvania State Police, Fern Ridge barracks in the case against Ryan Kessler:
At 5:06 p.m. Jan. 16, Holguin Ramos arrived at a home in the 5100 block of Hickory Road, Chestnuthill Township, for a reported verbal domestic.
Holguin Ramos interviewed the victim, who said that she was arguing with her boyfriend, Kessler, 18.
The woman said the argument turned physical when Kessler grabbed her by the throat and started choking her, causing her not to be able to breathe.
While interviewing the victim, Holguin Ramos noticed red marks on her neck.
Kessler faces charges of strangulation; simple assault; harassment; and disorderly conduct.
He is currently free in lieu of $15,000 unsecured bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Friday before District Judge Colleen Mancuso of Brodheadsville.
