A Tamaqua man wanted on a bench warrant from the Schuyl- kill County District Attorney’s office was arrested Thursday by Mahanoy City Police after an incident in the borough.

Police said Matthew Elison, 21, was involved in an incident in the 200 block of West Centre St. He is in Schuylkill County Prison.

His arraignment on felony aggravated assault, felony disarming a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
