State police at Frackville investigate incidents

State police at Frackville reported on the following charges issued by troopers.

• Troopers said on Dec. 18 at 1:08 a.m. they responded to the 100 block of First Street in East Union Township, for a report of damage to a vehicle. Troopers learned that several parties were involved in a fight before the vehicle, a 2003 Dodge Neon, was damaged.

Troopers identified those involved and being cited as Stephanie Collins, 35, of Coaldale; Michelle Salko, 34, of Oneida; and Daniel Hagans, 26, of Hazleton. Troopers said appropriate charges were filed for criminal mischief and harassment.

• On Dec. 26 at 8 p.m. a traffic stop of a 2015 Mitsubishi was made along Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township, for a vehicle code violation. It was determined that the driver, Devonte Parham, 28, of Wilkes-Barre, was driving under the influence and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and drug possession.

• On Jan. 11 at 3:25 a.m. troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 81 southbound in Kline Township. Troopers said a 25-year-old man from Tamaqua, who they declined to identify, was driving a 2017 Jeep Renegade when he lost control which caused the vehicle to roll onto its roof. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. The DUI charge is pending test results.
