The mercury dropped to minus 7 at 7:35 a.m. Saturday on West Broad Street in Tamaqua, shown here on the time-and-temperature display at Hope’s Collision and Towing. Snow showers brought another coating of snow on Sunday and frigid conditions are expected to return mid-week. Low wind chills are forecast on Wednesday, with frostbite and hypothermia possible with prolonged exposure. The low that night is predicted to be 2 degrees below zero.
