Area crashes

State police report on area drivers in crashes:

• A Carbon County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:24 a.m. on Jan. 7 along Mountain Road, in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Bethlehem said Brandon T. Fallon, 20, of Lehighton, was driving a 2014 Hyundai Accent westbound and approaching a left hand curve when he began to lose control of steering. The vehicle went onto the right berm and into a ditch, then continued along the ditch and tilted on its side.

Fallon was not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A Carbon County driver was involved in a one-vehicle crash in Luzerne County. State police at Hazleton said the crash occurred at 10:31 a.m. on Wednesday along Nuremburg Mountain Road, in Black Creek Township.

Troopers said Richard A. Fisher, 21, of Weatherly, was driving a 1994 Dodge Intrepid eastbound when he lost control due to slippery road conditions.

The vehicle began to spin in a clockwise direction and hit a rock embankment. Fisher was not injured.
