The Nesquehoning Historical Society will hold a membership meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the historical society museum, located at 157 W. Railroad St. The meeting is weather permitting. Everyone is invited.

The society is looking for historic memorabilia from various places in town. If anyone has any old Scout uniforms, military uniforms or medals, high school banners, yearbooks, athletic gear and old programs that can be displayed. We would also like items from any businesses that once were open in New Columbus or Nesquehoning.

Old mining items or church-related items, as well as Nesquehoning knee-hi football, Little League and Babe Ruth, girls flag football articles or uniforms are also welcome.

The group is always looking for new members and new items, so check with your family and relatives to see if there is anything in their closets or attics that they would like to have displayed or donated.
