Estate planning seminar set

Carbon County Community Foundation will host a free seminar, “Your Legacy: Planning for Future Generations,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carbon Career and Technical Institute, 150 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe.

Even if you don’t think you have an estate, planning now for the future helps protect your family and assets, while also allowing you to leave behind a legacy for the next generation.

In addition to the basics of estate planning, this presentation will also cover various options for giving to your favorite charities, either through lifetime transfers or gifts upon death.

Carbon County Community Foundation will monitor all community guidelines related to COVID-19. If necessary, the event can be presented virtually instead of in-person.

R. Nicholas Nanovic, attorney and partner in Gross McGinley LLP will present the seminar.

Nanovic provides estate planning and tax law counsel to individuals and business owners. Having attained the designation of an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and an LL.M. in taxation, Nanovic is qualified to handle complex legal matters.

Call 1-855-545-1311 to register. The snow date is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25.
