The Slatington Borough Council approved the following items this week:

• The council accepted Gwyneth Jones’ renunciation of election for tax collector and declared the position vacant. Dan Stevens has been authorized to advertise for a new tax collector following this renunciation.

• The council approved the 2022 community yard sale dates which stand as follows: May 13, 14, 15 and Sept. 16, 17, 18.

The next monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 in the borough building.
