Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:33 p.m. on Jan. 4 along Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Andrea K. Calvert, 68, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when she slowed down to make a left turn onto Cobalt Lane.

Her vehicle was then struck in the rear by a 2007 Chrysler Sebring driven by Sherry L. McCray, 40, of Tobyhanna.

No one was injured.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:14 a.m. on Jan. 7 along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township. Troopers said Sofia Hantz, 31, of Mount Pocono, was westbound operating a 2016 Ford in the right lane of travel. A dump truck was in the left lane and began to pass Hantz. As the driver passed his truck struck the Ford on the driver’s side. After impact the truck driver continued westbound.

Hantz was not injured and she was able to drive her vehicle from the scene.
