January 13, 1998 - Wins from three freshmen help Panther Valley gain a 40-30 Schuylkill League Division 2 wrestling decision over Tamaqua. Ninth-graders Mike Brogan, Jake Canzoneri and Tegan McKee not only produce victories for PV, but also earn important bonus points. Brogan registers a pin at 103 pounds, as does McKee at 189, while Canzoneri gains a major decision at 140. The Panthers, coached by Tim Robb, also receive falls from Alex Paul (135) and Paul Skodacek (152), with Jeremy Vrablic (130) and Mark Keerans (heavyweight) adding decision wins.
